CEDIA Expo, the platform where residential technology integrators, designers and construction professionals connect, learn and engage, along with its co-location with Commercial Integrator Expo, offered a glimpse into the future of custom smart home and commercial systems installation technologies.
This year’s event (September 5-7, at Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO), with its dynamic exhibits and comprehensive educational programme highlighted several innovative products from emerging and established industry leaders that will shape the future of home automation, energy management and more.
From smart textile flooring to automated window awnings, CEDIA Expo gave industry professionals the opportunity to experience innovative solutions firsthand, all on one show floor. This year’s event featured an impressive array of technologies, including a few highlights:
Applied Sensor Co. introduced its TrampleTek smart textile flooring, a solution for solving package theft in homes where traditional security cameras aren’t suitable. The product integrated soft, stretchy sensor technology with IoT capabilities.
Bond displayed its smart wind, rain and sunlight sensor, designed for automation of outdoor screens, pergola louvers, and shutters. The sensor worked with the Bond Bridge Pro, providing real-time weather data and motorised control based on pre-set threshold.
Crestron showcased the latest updates to its Crestron Home OS, highlighting new features aimed at enhancing smart home installations. With an expanding portfolio of devices and third-party solutions, the updated OS provided integrators with greater flexibility and control.
FX Luminaire featured its premium Luxor lighting control system, a low-voltage landscape lighting transformer. Attendees experienced Luxor’s zoning, dimming and colour control capabilities firsthand.
Jetbuilt debuted its AI-driven Service Desk, which integrates with the company’s Service module to provide users with independent troubleshooting options. The system is designed to scan a device’s QR code for diagnostic purposes, guide users through repairs and generate support tickets for integrators.
First-time exhibitor Juke Audio demonstrated its multi-room amplifier, which is designed to distribute clear, crisp sound throughout entire homes or buildings.
Modern Atomics made its debut with the innovative Reaktor DC22, a power distribution unit that is designed to reduce installation time and costs by powering up to 22 shades without requiring AC power or conduit.
RoseWater Energy presented its Energy Hub, designed to deliver continuous, clean power regardless of grid fluctuations such as spikes, surges or outages.
Finally, Sol-Lux introduced the EOS Automated Window Awning, a solar-powered shading solution that autonomously operated based on wind, temperature and sunlight conditions.
